In the Sailor A-2026(S) recruiting group, the following categories are currently open for recruitment (i.e., Sailor Branches):
(1) Sailor Technical Branch (Physical Technical Branch)
Educational Qualifications:
Matric (operational sciences) – Minimum score: 65% or higher
Age: Between 16 and 20 years
Height: Minimum height: 5'"41" or above
Duties: Sailors working in the technical branch will be required to perform the following duties (i.e., engine operator, operator of machinery, and technical operations) on board a naval vessel.
(2) Female Medical Technicians (FM) (Female Medical Technician)
Educational Qualifications:
Matric (practical biology) – Minimum score: 65% or higher
Age: Between 16 and 20 years
Types of duties: The duties for female medical technicians will consist of working in a medical facility as a laboratory technician or technician.
Naval Police/Regulation
Matriculation (Science/Arts) = 60%
Age range of 16-20 years
Height minimum requirement is 5'7"
Internal security, enforcing regulations and discipline within bases.
Marine Branch
Matriculation (Science) = 60%
Age range of 17-21 years

Age range of 18-22 years for DAE, older for BS/IT.
Height minimum requirement is 5'4"
Duties include managing network and risks in information technology (IT) as well as basic software operations and management of IT systems.
